Info

Same, Same but Different is a series of Television portraits where we bring contemporary Chinese people into focus. How do Chinese people think and what are their dreams and aspirations? What does it mean to lose face? Why is it so difficult to make business in China? Why do we call them inscrutable? And do they really eat the brains of living monkeys!? The programmes are hosted by two colourful English speaking musicians and twin-brothers from Sweden, Magnus and Henrik Rongedal. They have been living in with families, meeting billionaires and the very poor, the same with policemen and doctors, farmers and China’s very own answer to Madonna. Wherever they go, the brothers manage to open up the atmosphere by being warmhearted, spontanious and genuinely inquisitive. Let’s not forget that music is the great unifier and comunicator, what better way to open up people’s minds! We will follow the twins’ exploits on their “long and winding way” through China. Our main interest will of course be up on the Chinese people themselves. The viewers will experience unique insights of the Chinese way of life and everything that entails.
